As part of a multi-phase, $151M+ construction project to modernize Baruch College’s 1928 structure at 17 Lexington Ave, Phase 1A addresses critical code compliance, accessible design, and upgraded building systems.

Extensive renovations on the 16-story limestone and brick Field Building ensure that it joins the College’s model for 21st-century education with a targeted emphasis on sustainability. Baruch College aims to attain a LEED Silver designation from the U.S. Green Building Council on the renovated building.

Azar Design Co was contracted by CJ Brown Energy to provide commissioning support services associated with the $68M Phase 1A renovation of the Baruch College Field Building.

Our team provided commissioning support for the emergency generator, fire pump, and indoor air quality monitoring. Support services included the review and development of test reports, on-site observations of equipment and system start-ups, and functional testing.
