Azar Design Co provided architecture and engineering services to Arup and Delta Airlines for the new Delta One Premium Lounge and Delta Sky Club at JFK Terminal 4. This project is being coordinated with the simultaneously occurring Phase 2.5 Redevelopment projects for Delta at JFK Terminal 4. 

The Delta Sky Club is located at JFK Airport in Terminal 4 near Gate A7. The nearly 14,000-square-foot Club seats more than 250 guests and includes a covered Sky Deck. The Delta One Lounge at New York’s JFK Airport is located between Concourses A and B in Terminal 4. The first of its kind, the lounge offers a variety of experiences and amenities for the premium traveler, from fine dining to spa-like wellness treatments to valet services and more.

Azar served as the Architect of Record for the Core and Shell renovation and new addition for the Delta One project, and Engineer of Record for the Core and Shell and Fit-Out phases of the Delta One project. 

Our Building Systems Engineering team served as Engineer of Record for the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for the fit-out of the Delta Sky Club.

Our scope included existing conditions documentation, electrical design, bid documents for contract procurement, phasing and enabling design & coordination of the submission for Port Authority of New York and New Jersey approval, construction administration and closeout documentation. Additionally, Azar’s civil engineering team provided site utility and roadway design.

The scope was a mixture of core & shell and interior fit-out to provide a new Delta One Premium Lounge for JFK Terminal 4 and fit-out for a new Delta Sky Club. The program requirements range from premium high-end spaces to support and back of house spaces.
